The Write Through Chicago online supplement provides both teachers and students with an array of writing support options:

The site includes hundreds of suggested links to primary and secondary sources, each specifically itemized to correspond to the 240 research prompts assigned in the 40 chapters of Write Through Chicago. This list is continuously reviewed and updated as certain links turn inactive and others become available.

Student Writing

Students have the opportunity to submit their own writing for publication on the website. Teachers and students can access these student writing samples based on Write Through Chicago prompts and read annotated comments by Write Through Chicago’s authors. Student submissions also become eligible for writing contests sponsored by Write Through America.

Core Standards

An itemized set of Core Standards charts indicates which Writing, Speaking and Listening, Reading Literature/Reading for Information, and Language standards are met by individual Write Through Chicago units.
